Airtel FUFA Awards: Mckinstry Delighted By FUFA’s Inclusion Of Female Players

The newly appointed Uganda Cranes head coach Johnathan McKinstry has been pleased by FUFA’s act of including the female players’ category in the Airtel FUFA Awards.

The Irishman has been at Serena Hotel during the launch of the fifth edition of the awards on Wednesday morning.

“When I arrived in Uganda, I was assured that there are a pool of talented players and whoever makes the starting eleven is good enough to do the job. I am humbled for FUFA to recognize female players as well,” McKinstry said.

Different from last year, five new categories have been included in this year’s awards including the FUFA Best XI 2019 (Women).

The new categories include Airtel – FUFA Best XI 2019 (Women), Airtel – FUFA Women Football Coach of the Year, Best Squad (Club/National Team) of a particular Year, FUFA Member Associations’ Award and the Team Fans of the Year (FUFA Competitions).
