Aftermath of Second Failed Age-Limit Motion Tabling in Pictures

The debate at Parliament on the contentious presidential age limit amendment turned physical on Tuesday when legislators engaged in fist fights and hitting each other with chairs.

The opposition Members of Parliament and some NRM and independent colleagues blocked the moving of the motion to introduce the removal of article 102 (b) of the Constitution which was supposed to be done Igara West county MP, Raphael Magezi.

The unprecedented drama in the National Assembly forced the Speaker, Rebecca Kadaga to adjourn the house to Wednesday afternoon.

Outside Parliament, the charged opposition MPs vowed to fight on and fail the tabling of the motion.
