The Uganda Cranes contingent that participated in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations is now back in the country.
The team traveled back in two batches with the second arriving on Monday morning aboard EgyptAir.
The team will then meet the President Museveni later in the day at the State House in Entebbe.
Uganda ended their campaign with a 1-0 defeat to Africa’s best-ranked nation Senegal on Monday.
It was the first time since 1978 that they advanced from the group stages though this edition saw the round of 16 added for the first time as a result of the expanded 24-team tournament.
In AFCON, Uganda won one match against DR Congo, drew 1-1 with Zimbabwe and lost 2-0 to hosts Egypt. All four teams are now out of the tournament.
It remains unclear if the Cranes’ sit-down strike in Cairo over unpaid bonuses will be discussed during the Entebbe meeting.
The engagement also comes just days after Fufa terminated the contract of the Cranes coach, Sebastien Desabre following the Uganda national football team’s loss to Senegal this past week.
