The Uganda Cranes has concluded their three-week training camp in Abu Dhabi.
While in Abu Dhabi, the Cranes played two friendly matches against Turkmenistan and Ivory Coast where they drew one and won one.
The two friendly games were a test for the technical team to assess the level of preparedness and improve the team ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations that kick off on Friday in Egypt.
“It was a camp that has helped a lot in the team preparations ahead of the Total AFCON 2019 Finals in Egypt. We concluded the training on Sunday 16th June 2019 at the Abu dhabi Cricket Sports Complex,” the team’s mouthpiece Ahmed Hussein revealed while adding that, “The morale in camp is high as we depart for Egypt on Monday afternoon aboard Egypt Air.”
Uganda started their campaign against DR Congo on Saturday at the Cairo international stadium.
They will play Zimbabwe and Egypt next week in the other group games.
