Sebastian Desabre has asked the Uganda Cranes squad currently in Abu Dhabi preparing for the Africa Cup of Nations to put maximum concentration.
The team started the residential training camp at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium complex early this week as they seek to familiarize with the weather conditions akin to what they will face in Cairo next month.
“I am happy with the attitude and the response to training. It is not easy to adapt to this weather as it is hot.
It is important for the boys to adapt to the weather but I am happy with the sessions (so far),” Desabre said.
He also added that “It is the same weather they will find in Egypt. They need to concentrate a lot. They need to understand the importance of this camp in Abu Dhabi because they are representing millions of fans back home and around the globe who want them to perform.
We need to prepare well for the tournament as we have two friendlies on 9th and 15th June fly out to Egypt.”
Uganda Cranes will start their campaign on Saturday 22nd against DR Congo then face the Zimbabwe a four days later before closing business against the hosts, Egypt on 30th.
