Maroons Football Club winger-cum-defender Ivan Wani made his international debut for South Sudan as they played to a goalless draw against Tunisia in Juba on Wednesday.
Wani together with Kirinya Jinja SSS FC duo of Emmanuel Rubangakene and Julius Debbo opted to shift their international allegiance to South Sudan early this year.
The same team eliminated the Uganda Cobs from the qualifiers in November last year.
The three are also part of the squad that camped in Egypt last week as they prepared for te two leg affair.
South Sudan will travel to Tunisia on Friday morning for the second leg set for Sunday 24th in Ben Gardane, Tunisia.
The aggregate winner of the tie will face Cameroon in the final round of qualifiers for the finals that will be played later in the year in Egypt.
