Kenya qualified to the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations after passing through a tough group that had Ghana, Ethiopia and Sierra Leone who were later expelled.
On their way, they beat Ethiopia and Ghana home to amass seven points.
It is from these results that their head coach Sebastian Migne picks inspiration ahead of their crucial clash against Senegal on Monday in their final group C game.
The East Africans started the tournament poorly with a 2-0 loss to Alegeria but recovered on match day two to beat neighbours Tanzania 3-2 to revive their hopes.
Now to advance, they need at least a point from Senegal who has three points so far.
Senegal came into the tournament as the best ranked team in the monthly Fifa rankings. Migne admits that the Senegal job will be a tough one but has asked his players to draw inspiration from their 1-0 win over Ghana in the qualifiers.
“We know it will be difficult playing against the number one country in Africa (FIFA Rankings),” the Frenchman admits.
“But, it was difficult as well when we came up against Ghana during qualification and we won. We can do it,” he added.
The match will be played at the 30 June Stadium, Cairo as Tanzania and Alegria face each other at the Al Salam stadium in cairo.
