AFCON: Egypt Star Accused Of Sexual Harassment Pardoned After Salah Intervention Ahead Of Uganda Duel

The Egyptian Football Federation has recalled midfielder Amr Wahda just two days after he was expelled from camp.

The 25-year old was expelled and suspended from the national team indefinitely on accusations of indiscipline and sexual harassment.

The star faced the punishment after several women complained of him harassing them online.

However, several Pharaohs stars led by Africa’s most valuable player Mohammed Salah, Ahmed Hegazi and Ahmed Elmohamady stood for their teammate and requested that he be given a second chance in the team.

Elmohamady celebrated his goal over DR Congo on Wednesday with a sign ‘22’ which is Wahda’s jersey number.

The Egyptian football body confirmed that the midfielder has returned to camp. However, their head coach Javier Agguire has not spoken whether he will field him against Uganda on Sunday or not.
