Partiers are warming up for this year’s Bayimba Festival, which is slated for September 22nd-24th at the Uganda Museum.
The event will be headlined by performances from local and international artistes, lots of music, art exhibitions, plus merrymaking.
Uganda Waragi, the main sponsor of the event, has pledged to give partiers and music lovers who will attend the Bayimba International Festival more than just music and fun.
In a statement that was posted on their social media platforms on Wednesday, Uganda Waragi promised a great UG experience.
“Bayimba international festival-Kampala is celebrating 10 years this weekend from the 22nd-24th September. You know when it comes to festivals, we cannot miss the chance to give you awesome live performances and a great UG experience,” the statement says in part.
Bayimba festival is an annual event that started 10 years back. During the third week of September, Kampala comes alive as a vibrant and eventful city with unparalleled feats of music, dance, theatre, film, and visual arts from renowned and upcoming artistes brought to Kampala.
This year’s festival charged at Shs1ok per head, will be headlined by musicians like Cindy Sanyu, Maurice Kirya, Jose chameleon, Mwanase Ahmed from Kenya, the Project Inye, Beyita from South Africa, Dr. Bone from South Africa, Betty G from Ethiopia and many other local and international artistes.
