Accountants under their professional body of ACCA have conducted a two day convention in which they were equipped with knowledge on how to prosper in the Accounting field at the same time participating in development of their communities and a country at large
The two day event held at Speke Resort Munyonyo attracted ACCA members from various organizations with experienced speakers who addressed them on how to succeed in various sectors of life
One of the keynote speakers Dr. Francis Kamulegeya the country senior partner Price Water house coopers Uganda tasked the accountants to always engage and participate in networking events for more opportunities.
“Always engage in community work like on church construction, in committees you can serve as a Treasurer and in the process you meet other people like Engineers from various organizations whom you can interact with and by so doing, you will be able address a number of issues from their field,” said Kamulegeya.
He further asked the Accountants to always maintain good working relationship with other people in various sectors of their organization through supporting each other.
While speaking at the event, Dr. Catherine Dougan a professor at African Leadership University school of Business pointed out that the youth constitute to the largest population in Africa today and thus, he urged the participants to help the young generation in identifying their potential.

Daniel Kalinaki General Manager Editorial, Nation Media group when asked to talk about personal branding, asked the participants at the convention to always be careful when selecting the social media platforms on which they share their professional related information
The convention brought together not only accountants, but other people from different fields as well and acted as an opportunity for them to interact and exchange ideas.
