The Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards (ASFAs) have been organised every December since 2013 to recognize excellence and outstanding performances in the arts and fashion industry in Uganda and Africa at large.
The awards are known to bring together many socialites from all over the country and continent as they display their beautifully crafted colors on the glamorous red carpet.
Although many people have chosen the new normal and embraced virtual shows, the organizers of the ASFAs have decided to postpone their show to 2021 as opposed to doing a virtual show.
“We have never envisioned the ASFAs being a virtually produced show as this ruins the idea and concept on which the ASFAs started. People coming together, in one room, with all the oomph, flair and glam is what has made the ASFAs what they are today,” a statement issued by the organisers reads.
“So, after much consideration, putting into account the safety of our fans and guests, and also the need to give you a show that will be as remarkable and unforgettable like the last 8 years, we have made the tough decision to postpone the event to 2021,” the statement further reads.
