Miss World Africa and Miss Uganda, Quiin Abenakyo has called on young people to pay no attention to those who make them feel inferior.
Abenakyo, who was addressing young people at an event dubbed ‘Overcoming Social Pressure’ that was held at Hotel Africana over the weekend.
The beauty Queen encouraged young people to work hard and utilize every opportunity that comes their way, if they want to live a good life and achieve their dreams.
“No one can make you inferior without your consent, in any case, don’t give room to anyone who makes you feel inferior” She said.
Abenakyo also told Young people to always have a plan for their lives and always not forget their background. She gave herself as an example, having grown up from a polygamous family with a huge number of disciplinarians; her endeavors to shape the reputation of her family remain a top most thing.
The event was organized by Miss Uganda Foundation in partnership with United Nations population Fund (UNPF) and reach a hand, attracted former Miss Uganda queens Leah Kagasa and Phiona Bizzu among other guests.
There was entertainment from Geosteady who put up a spectacular performance which elevated the zeal of young people in attendance.
Speaking at the same event, Leah Kagasa, the former Miss Uganda said that she worked and is still endeavoring to use Miss Uganda influence to fight teenage pregnancies since two of her cousins happened to be teenage mothers.
Kagasa called on young girls to always find a way of releasing pressure away from them, without involving alcohol and drugs.
