Uganda Cranes and Pyramids Football Club winger Abdu Lumala on Tuesday reportedly had another successful knee surgery in Belgium, Brussels.
The development was confirmed on his official social media platform.
“I will be out for sometime, am coming back stronger than before,” Lumala said before thanking Pyramids FC club president and Doctor Declercq.
This is the second time the Uganda Cranes darling winger is operated on in a short spell after his first Operation in December last year.
Lumala will be therefore be ruled out of action for not less than six months going through a longtime recovery process.
Last week, the gangly fast-paced winger was said to be pushing for a move to return to Europe as Egyptian football doesn’t suit his style of play despite the player refuting allegations.
Lumala was part of the Uganda Cranes squad that took part in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Egypt, helping the Cranes reach the knockout stage before falling to Senegal on the round of 16.
