A-Plus Funeral Defends Self on Semwanga Burial Case

A- Plus Funeral Management Company alongside Bank of Uganda was recently dragged to Court recently by a concerned citizen for reportedly watching legal tender go to waste during Ivan Semwanga’s burial.

Appearing before High Court on Monday, the company’s Managing Director Ronald Zaake maintained that the plaintiff never hired their services, but rather the deceased’s family.

Zaake further explained that his contract did not include “determining the  manner in which Ssemwanga’s family  and friends wanted  his  sendoff.”

Zaake also told court that he had no powers to challenge the burial proceedings.

In that regard, the company asked court to dismiss the case.

The case will be heard on August 21 before Justice Magaret Oumo Oguli.

For starters, Abbey Mgugu, the plaintiff   sought Court orders that A-Plus Funeral management company exhumes Semwanga’s body to retrieve the buried legal tender.
