With the implementation of the Makerere University fees policy passed by the University Council, no student is allowed to sit for the end of academic year examinations without paying 100 percent tuition fees.
The exams end on May 25.
“We have the pleasure to inform you that the Ministry of Education and Sports on the Account of State House has paid tuition fees for all Students sponsored by State House for the Academic Year 2012/2013,” Makerere publicist Ritah Namisango told Chimpreports.
“State House sponsors over 900 students at Makerere University, and has thus paid Shs3, 042,283,664bn. They have cleared all dues,” she noted.
