This come days after all the UPC members of parliament failed to return the Shs 5m marriage bill money that the opposition leadership agreed and directed all members to return the money ordered by President Museveni.

Even the shadow Minister for Relief and Disaster Preparedness, Josinto Ogwal who is also the UPC Chief Whip, is among the 43 opposition MPs who did not return the money.

“Starting from when we brought the impeachment motion to Parliament, no UPC member has signed or returned this marriage and divorce bill money,” noted Ssemujju.

He also added that President Museveni attended their functions in the North. “Recently President Museveni struggled his best and flew from African Union meeting in Adis-Aababa to Minakulu in Oyam district to attend the marriage ceremony of UPC MPs James Akena and Betty Amongi.”

“The fountain of honor then gave the new couple money in a white envelope which he did not disclose the figure but sources claim it was Shs 50m,” asserted Ssemujju.

Upon the above background, Ssemujju further noted that they are now not trusting UPC members since they always don’t want to participate in anything against Museveni.

The effort to get a comment from UPC Chief Whip was futile as all his known phone numbers were off.
