After the disappointment of drawing Jinja side BUL FC in the league on Tuesday – URA were held 1-1 away in Eastern Uganda – the Tax collectors now play in what is certainly their biggest game of the season to date.

Victory would send the Lugazi side to second top of the log and establish them as the new favourites to win the FSL title. It really is a crunch fixture for Paul Nkata and his side, and one they cannot afford to lose.

The good news is that URA have played the least number of games in the league this season (25), having claimed an impressive 46 points from a possible 75

However, it may be a case of the unstoppable force meeting the immovable object, as Nigerian Duru Chukuma’s Vipers have strung together a remarkable first leg 1-0 win over URA away from home last year.

Whatever the result between these two teams, it will have a major effect on where the Fufa Super League trophy may end up. A win for either one of these sides will make them the favourites, while a draw could open the door for Kampala City Capital Authority (KCCA) to lengthen their lead to7 points.

URA FC’s postponed matches against Water and Kiira Young have been rescheduled to 3rd May (Nakivubo) and 7th (Namboole) respectively.

Elsewhere in the league, Fred Kajoba’s 9th placed Simba SC who pulled an impressive stalemate against Masaka away from home earlier this week host defending champions Express FC who will bank on striker Frank Kalanda’s form on the back of their 4-1 mauling of Proline on Tuesday to pick a maximum points in Bombo.

And fifth placed SC Villa will make a tricky trip to Lugogo to play Proline FC, relegation threatened Police and Victors face off at Kavumba while Masaka LC currently in 12th welcome relegation candidates Aurum Roses at Masaka Recreation Stadium.
