Kyambogo Students Threaten To Strike Again

This follows yesterday’s violent strike after most students found their names on the lists of tuition fees defaulters yet they had fully paid tuition dues.


Enraged students said they were protesting the “recklessness and incompetence” of the University administration.


Kampala Metropolitan Police Commander, Andrew Kaweesi is at Kyambogo University premises urging calm, patience and restraint among students.

He says University authorities are working round the clock to work on their complaints, adding violence is not a solution to the crisis.


In 2012, students on several occasions clashed with police, leaving property worth millions of shillings destroyed.
