He noted that all this would be achieved through exploitation of opportunities in the oil and Gas sector, tourism, agriculture and minerals among other sectors.


“These opportunities will be harnessed through strengthening fundamentals like security, good infrastructure, improved technology, and globally competitive human resource,” noted Rwendeire.

He therefore said government will put in place a hi-tech ICT city and associated infrastructure like regional cities and strategic cities as key flagship projects to the vision 2040.


“We shall put in place one nuclear PowerStation and hydro power stations, science and technology parks in each regional city plus international and national referral hospitals in regional cities,” added Rwendeire.


He asserted that to strengthen this government and its three arms, it ensures checks and balances on top of developing and nurturing a national value system to help change the mindsets of the citizens and promote patriotism.
