Mbabazi further noted that these 4 members had decampaigned official NRM candidates in the by elections and used wrong platform to addressing pertinent issues of NRM.
“All the above constitute to breach of the provisions of the NRM code of conduct,” said Mbabazi.
He however noted that Vincent Kyamadidi the MP for Rwampara constituency had only been suspended for 3 months from the party because he had appeared before the Central Executive Committee when he was called.
“He will not chair or sit in any NRM meeting on top of not sitting in parliament for 3 months among other restrictions,’’ said the secretary general.
Mbabazi noted that the 4 MPs engaged in formation of cliques within the party and engaged in intrigue which was contrary to the code of conduct of the party.
“The Central Executive Committee found out that Nsereko Mohammad decampaigned Alintuma Nsambu and campaigned for Mathias Nsubuga a candidate sponsored by DP, said Mbabazi.
He therefore noted that this was the beginning of the new era in the NRM as more changes were to take place.
