FNL 3 Grand Finale

rx geneva;”>ampoule sans-serif;”>During Team Malinga’s journey to the final of the Castle Lite Friday Night Lights, skipper Henry Malinga learned the importance of focusing on the basic 30 minutes of playtime besides partying, slam dunking exhibitions and thereafter saw-off two-time champions and top favourite Team Ikong 67-64 in the semi-finals.

“I think that really helped a lot, just not getting caught in the fun moment of the game but concentrating on winning our games and the big prize,” said Malinga

“We know everything about our opponent tonight,” he added.

MVP Ben Komakech’s side, KB08 edged Team Blick 65-64 in a thrilling encounter a fortnight back to make the final

“It is a great honour to be in the title game,” said Komakech.

With most analysts saying that, by virtue of Team KB08’s unbeaten status, Team Malinga are the final’s underdogs having began their Journey to the Finals on Day 2 with a loss to Team Ikong but they met in the semis and avenged the loss with a victory over the defending champs.

The third season of Friday Night Lights organised by Kinetic Management Group was sponsored by KCB Uganda, Castle Lite Uganda, Rwenzori Bottling Company Limited, Hot Loaf Bakery Ltd and Channel O. Entrance fee to the venue, YMCA Wandegeya is 5,000/= and 20,000/= VIP
