discount geneva;”>These two prominent and innovative Ugandan business leaders will inject vital experience and skills that will complement the strengths of Capital Club East Africa’s Board.

Following his appointment, Mr. Karuhanga said this would greatly improve on the working relationship in the East African Community.

“Being in the Board of Governors of Capital Club is an ideal way for me to stay engaged and provide guidance, as we build upon the foundation that has been created in the region and the close working relationship of the East African Community,” said Karuhanga.

CEO and Co-founder of Signature Clubs International, Guy Guillemard said: “We are delighted and honored that Mr. Karuhanga and Mr. Karmali are in our board as they represent the success and picture of East Africa’s business community.”

He said this during his speech as he welcomed the Club’s newest Board members.

As the premier private business club in East Africa, Capital Club aims to offer business leaders a haven to meet, relax, socialize, network and entertain. The addition of these two revered gentlemen to the Board therefore brings invaluable experiences from the private and public sectors to the Club, bringing to the table domestic and international perspectives that will grow the Club in the region.

Demonstrating the enthusiasm with which the Club has been received, a significant milestone was achieved in December 2012 by the registration of its first 250 members ahead of schedule. The 250 individuals and companies became the Club’s Gold Founder Members, setting the stage for its official opening in the first half of 2013.

Mr Karmali added that: “We project that by the close of 2013, the Board of Governors will have attained more members drawn from across East Africa and beyond as outlined in our targets, who will relish the immense networking opportunities provided both locally and globally through our network of reciprocal clubs.”

Membership is mostly by invitation and Capital Club’s Governors target CEOs, Senior Partners, Managing Directors, Chairpersons and other Senior Department Heads. The Membership Committee ensures a careful balance of members: by age, nationality, ethnicity, business sector and gender.

With members ranging from entrepreneurs in their late twenties to business leaders in their sixties, the Club’s membership reflects leadership, power, balance, diversity, integrity and quality, with male and female captains of industry drawn from both local and international circles.

The Club is co-owned and managed by Signature Clubs International, which has similar well-established clubs in Dubai and Bahrain.
