Nebanda Saga: Dr. Onzivua, Baryomunsi Hearing Adjourned

He was arrested on December 18, 2012 at Entebbe Airport as he tried to take Late Nebanda’s samples to South Africa for a forensic examination.

The duo was represented by their lawyers David Mpanga, Caleb Alaka, Winfred Nuwagaba and Abdul Katuntu.

State Prosecutor, Peace Biira asked for an adjournment claiming the case file was with the police but defense lawyers objected, calling upon court to dismiss such allegations which exhibits how unserious the state is.


The Magistrate later offered the state a recess of one hour, to get the file and present.

At around 11.00am, the file was brought to court before a state prosecutor asked for an adjournment to enable them to finalize their inquiries.

The magistrate later set the next hearing on April 4, 2013.

On December 21, 2012, Dr. Onzivua apologized to President Museveni and the deceased family for his involvement saying he never knew his actions would cause controversy.
