Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine has expressed excitement and gratitude following the continued increasing number of people who have embraced his National Unity Platform (NUP) party.
Yesterday Tuesday July 4, at NUP party headquarters in Kamwokya-Kampala, Bobiwine welcomed a total of 84 artists, entertainers and other media personalities who officially joined the NUP party.
These were led by Hillary Kiyaga alias Dr Hilderman who wants to oust Amelia Kyambade, the Minister of Trade and Industry from Mawokota South, Irene Namatovu and her husband Geofrey Lutaaya, Sir Mathias Walukaaga, Roden Y Kabako, events promoters; Abbey Musinguzi alias Abtex and Bajjo.
Reknown Television journalist Basajja Mivule, who was recently arrested from BABA TV, for inciting violence also joined the party.
“Today was one of the best days of my life, there is nothing as fulfilling for me as a leader like seeing very talented people embrace the message to personally get involved in the affairs of our Country,” Bobi Wine said.
Bobi Wine said that unlike previously when artistes were just being used to fulfill other people’s agendas, it is different this time.
“But today at our headquarters, seeing 84 artists, entertainers and other media personalities join NUP was an absolute honor,” he noted.
According to Bobi Wine, his opponents are feeling the heat because they understand the power of art during what he called the ‘Peoples Revolution’.
“There is nothing that will be out of our reach because we are a united generation,” he said.
Monday July 3, a section of politicians others from the National Resistance Movement ruling party officially joined NUP.
