While announcing the appointment, Charles Brewer, Managing Director, Sub-Saharan Africa, said Ms. Desta’s wide experience in all aspects of the express business make her an ideal choice as the company moves to expand its footprint in East Africa.
“Uganda is a key market for our operations in East Africa. I am confident Desta will lead the business there to greater heights, which will benefit East Africa as a whole,” said Brewer.
Ms Desta, previously held the role of Country Manager for DHL Express in Zimbabwe and before that in Ethiopia.
