District NRM Chairman Hajj Imran Muluga assured the President of Nebanda’s victory.
Unlike in the past when NRM has lost considerably in by-elections, it is widely believed the party’s candidate will ride on the deceased legislator’s popularity to emerge victorious.
In fact all candidates who participated in NRM primaries and lost to Nebanda attended the conference before publicly promising to throw their weight behind her.
NRM top shots who pledged to solicit votes for Nebanda include MPs Sarah Kataike, Richard Todwong, Emmanuel, Saleh Kamba and Dorothy Hyuha among others.
