A total of eight foreign based players joined Uganda Cranes camp on Monday as the team continues with preparations ahead of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations double header qualifier against Lesotho.
Following four days with the local based legion where eight players were retained on the now trimmed 24 man squad, the foreign based players also joined training on Monday as the team went into residential camp at Kabira Country club.
The eight who trained on Monday at Mandela National Stadium include Emmanuel Okwi, Edrisa Lubega, Godfrey Walusimbi and Joseph Ochaya who has recently joined Congolese outfit TP Mazembe.
The others were Nico Wakiro Wadada, Dennis Iguma, Allan Kateregga and Murushid Jjuko.
More players are expected to join camp as the Cranes intensify preparations for the first leg against Lesotho at Mandela National Stadium on Saturday before the return leg three days later in Maseru.
Uganda is still top of group L on four points in two games closely followed by Lesotho and Tanzania both on two while Cape Verde are bottom on one point.
