The Ministry of Health has on Thursday confirmed 48 new COVID-19 cases in Uganda bringing the cumulative total number of confirmed infections in the country to 10,117.
One Covid-19 death has also been recorded from Kole district.
“Results from COVID-19 tests done on 14th October 2020; 48 new COVID-19 cases confirmed. The cumulative confirmed cases of Ugandans are now 10,117,” the Health Ministry announced.
The new cases include 48 contacts and alerts.
These are; 18 from Kampala, 7 from Mukono, 4 from Manafwa, 4 from Rubanda, 4 from Wakiso, 2 from Jinja, 3 from Tororo, 1 from Abim, 1 from Busia, 1 from Kapchorwa, 1 from Kiryadongo, 1 from Kole and 1 from Mbarara.
Currently, Uganda has a cumulative total of 10,117 COVID-19 confirmed cases, 6,725 recoveries and 96 fatalities.
