Odinga told a huge gathering during the opening of the Kisumu International Airport early February Museveni would make regular trips to Kenya, starting with Saturday’s ceremony.

The development comes at a time when Odinga is doing grass root mobilization ahead of the presidential elections expected in December or March next year.

Odinga congratulated Busoga University for receiving, educating and loving the Kenyan students who join their campus.

Odinga, who contributed Shs.126 million (US$50,000) towards the fundraising drive, expressed happiness at the progress made towards the realization of the East African federation and reiterated his commitment to supporting it until its actualization.

Political pundits say the Kenya trip is a political payback to Odinga for being in Museveni’s good books and an attempt to cement the healthy relations between Kampala and Kenya’s “next President.”
