According to lead prosecutor Robert Mackay, Meddie, also known as “Young Money,” was part of a wider plot to steal billions from Bad Black’s lover David Greenhalgh.
Meddie invested the loot in properties along Entebbe road and other Kampala suburbs.
Shortly after Mackay announced investigations into the matter had been completed, Meddie was sent to the High Court for trial.
He was denied bail and immediately remanded to Luzira Prison.
Clad in a grey suit and stripped shirt, a calm Meddie was later led to a waiting prison bus.
Meddie will be tried alongside Bad Black who is facing charges of embezzling a staggering Shs20bn from a company jointly owned with her British man Greenhalgh.
Greehalgh wants court to slap caveat on Meddie’s real estate properties in Naalya, Entebbe and Kawempe, all Kampala suburbs; and also impound his three posh cars Mercedes Benz, Ford Explorer, Toyota pick-up and Range Rover sport.
