The marriage vows to the newlywed couple were administered by Archbishop Emeritus, His Grace Livingstone Mpalanyi Nkoyoyo. President Yoweri Museveni attended the church ceremony.
In a homily, Archbishop Nkoyoyo urged married couples to treat the marriage institution with the honor it deserves if it has to remain a sacred calling.
He said marriage is an honourable undertaking whose esteem and honour can only be portrayed by those in it for other aspiring people to appreciate it as well.
Archbishop Nkoyoyo strongly advised the newlyweds to be accountable to each other. He urged men in general to stop the habit of always being busy to attend to their marital obligations.
President Museveni, in a short speech congratulated the couple on finding each other and expressed optimism that they will live a happy life as they both hail from respectable families.
He described the groom as a perfect gentleman and said he has known Ivan Sserwano Kyambadde since his childhood.
He commended the parents of the young couple for the diligent upbringing of the two till the day when they witnessed their official departure from their respective homes to start their own family. He donated three heifers to the young couple.
