M7 Advises On Marriage Break-Ups

The reception was held at Speke Resort Munyonyo following the pronouncement of the couple as husband and wife earlier in the day at the Church of Resurrection, Bugolobi.

Museveni described the quality embedded in mutual care as the major lubrication of married life that all couples ought to hold onto to avoid break ups.

He stressed that real life is about family and children while other things in life that people tend to crave for and over emphasize, such as money, are simply facilitations for life.

“If it were not for families and children, the human race would not be in existence’’, he stressed. He urged the groom to support his wife since she is a career woman who has a calling of saving people’s lives as well as serving God as a Pastor.

Museveni commended His Majesty Rwot Philip Olarker Raun, the 3rd of the Alur, who was at the reception for initiating the commercial tea growing programme in the West Nile region. He pledged government support towards the programme by availing farmers with seedlings for a healthy start.

The President also gave the newly-wed couple 3 Friesian cows as a gift on their wedding.

Other dignitaries at the reception included the Minister of Gender, Labour and Social Development Sydda Bbumba, the Attorney General Peter Nyombi, Parliamentary Deputy Speaker Hon. Jacob Oulanyah.


Several State Ministers and Chief of the Defense Forces Gen. Aronda Nyakairima as well as several MPs.
