“Buganda elders are working round the clock to ensure Nagginda does not embarrass Kabaka with a divorce suit,” a source notes.

It’s yet unclear whether palace officials will convince a heart-broken Nnaginda to forgive Mutebi.

It has emerged Mutebi last year alerted Nagginda about the birth of Prince Richard Ssemakokiro.

Nagginda and her husband agreed to keep it top secret and never to go public about the sticky issue in the interest of their marriage.

She was however shocked today morning on being told that top newspapers had splashed the heart-melting pictures of Kabaka and his new prince on covers.

“Nnaginda feels betrayed and is determined to pursue the matter to its legal conclusion,” the source notes.

Mutebi wedded Nnabagereka Sylvia Nagginda of Omusu (edible rat) clan in a colourful ceremony on August 27 1999 at St. Paul’s Cathedral, Namirembe.

President Yoweri Museveni was the chief guest at this function. First Lady Janet Museveni and Tooro King Oyo Nyimba graced the occassion.

Nagginda is the mother of Buganda kingdom’s princess, Katrina Sarah Ssangalyambogo, her only child to date.

She gave birth to Ssangalyambogo on July 4 2001 at Queen Charlotte’s Chelsea Hospital in United Kingdom.

The source says Nnabagereka went livid and has turned down calls from Buganda elders aimed at comforting her.

The revelation could be a huge setback for the Kingdom and the queen.

Hundreds of Ugandans on social networking websites have expressed shock at the news of the new born Prince.

However, according to the Ganda culture, the King has the liberty to sleep with as many women as he wishes. All Baganda women are his wives, according to the tradition.
