Three Rwanda Premier League teams in AS Kigali, Rayon Sport and Kiyovu Sports Club have entered the race to sign Police Football Club right back Dennis Rukundo, ChimpReports can reveal.
According to reliable sources, the roving right back who is left with less than two months on his current contract, could see his way out of the Lugogo side for greener pastures.
“The player is soon running out of contract with his team Police FC and some teams in Rwanda have already showed interest in his services. We shall keenly weigh on the opportunities tabled to us and we shall make an official announcement in case of any development,” a source close to the player’s camp told this website.
Last season, Dennis Rukundo played a pivotal role in Police’s relegation survival, recording six assists to his name.
Police FC garnered 25 points from the 25 Uganda Premier League games played in the recently concluded 2019/2020 season, surviving the drop zone by a point.
Before joining the Cops, Rukundo played for KCCA Football Club and another Rwandan side, Armée Patriotique Rwandaise (APR) Football Club.
Last season, Rayon Sport finished in the second position of the RPL table having accumulated 50 points, 15 and 17 points adrift of Kiyovu Sports Club (5th) and AS Kigali (6th) respectively.
