Seven Arrested in Kabale over Boda Boda Cyclist Murder

dosage "sans-serif";”>It is reported that the deceased, Jackson Rwabwera a resident of Igabiro cell Mwanjari Ward, Kabale Municipality went missing on Sunday night on his way from Kaharo village where he had taken some passengers.

According to Elly Mate, the Kigezi Regional Police Publicist, the deceased left Kabale Town together with three other friends to Kaharo and at around 11:00 PM, they decided go back to the town but on their way back, at Kabaraga the deceased disappeared.

Mate said that the friends tried to trace him but in vein and the next day they reported him missing at Kabale Police Station until Thursday afternoon when his body was discovered in a trench at Kabaraga with his motor cycle registration no UDZ 945G Boxer in the same trench meters away from him.

Mate also said that seven people, three of whom went with the deceased to Kaharo including Peter Agaba, 25, Ambrose Tumwesigye, 22 years and Anthony Mateeka, 20 years were arrested to help in inquiries.

Mate added that the other four arrested, Joseph Namara 25 John Bosco Akampurira, 23, Aggrey Besigye, 25 and Nelson Muhangi Mandela, 25 all of Mwanjari are said to have assaulted the deceased of recent.


“After thorough investigations the suspects will be arraigned in courts to face the law,” Mate noted.
