2020 Olympics: US-based Crested Cranes stars arrive with promise ahead of Ethiopia duel

The Uganda Crested Cranes squad preparing for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games qualifiers against Ethiopia is now full.

The team currently camping at Fufa Technical Centre in Njeru was boosted by the arrival of three foreign-based Sandra Nabweteme, Yudaya Nakayenze and Fazila Ikwaput.

The latter arrived from her base in Kazakhstan while the former two arrived on Friday morning from America.

Nabweeteme, the much-fancied attacker, who is returning after a four year absence expressed her delight in returning to the team and promised to push the team to achieve.

‘I’m excited to be back home and play for my country. It will be a tough match but i’m confident of good results. Let’s plan as a team and get the best from the competition,” Nabweeteme commented.

The team will travel to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia for the first leg on April 3rd before the return leg on 6th.
