The Uganda Crested Cranes team has arrived in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia ahead of the first leg of their Tokyo 2020 Olympic qualifiers.
The team’s head coach Farida Bulega named a star-studded squad on Monday for the crucial first leg that will be played on Wednesday 3rd.
Bulega has expressed high promising hopes that the squad of twenty will do the job,
“All my players are good in camp and have been working hard. I am sure the 20 I have selected will do what is expected of them in Addis Ababa,” Bulega expressed hope.
The coach has included all the three foreign based players that were called in the provisional team.
They include; US-based duo Yudaya Nakayenze and Sandra Nabweteme who play for Siminole State Collegeand Southwestern Oklahoma State University and Fazila Ikwaput (BIIK Kazygurt, Kazakhstan)

Defenders – Shadia Nankya (Uganda Martyrs High School Rubaga), Aisha Namukisa (Kampala Queens), Viola Namuddu (Makerere-She MAK), Yudaya Nakayenze (Siminole State College, USA), Grace Aluka (Kawempe Muslem SS Ladies FC), Marion Amangat (Olila High School)
Midfielders – Phionah Nabbumba (Ajax Queens), Tracy Jones Akiror (Kawempe Muslem SS Ladies FC), Shamilah Nalujja (Isra Academy), Fauziah Najjemba (Isra Academy), Lilian Mutuuzo (Kampala Queens), Ritah Nabbosa (Lady Doves).
