Draws for the 15th edition of the East Africa secondary schools games have been released. The games will take place in Eldoret Kenya from the August 25th to September 3rd.

2016 Copa Coca Cola champions Kibuli SS are in group A with Makongo from Tanzania, Hanika (Rwanda), Barding (Kenya) and Charawe l from Zambia.
Regional champions Masaka SS will tussle in group B against fellow finalists Alliance high school, Passenger from Kenya and a yet to be determined team from war ravaged South Sudan.
St. Mary’s Kitende make it to the last group with Gisenyi (Rwanda), Bukembe (Kenya and Lake Technique from Burundi. Kitende had earlier been banned after some of their players beat up a referee in their semifinal loss to Alliance school from Tanzania last year.
Masaka qualify for the finals by virtue of being the defending champions after they lost the third place playoff to town rivals Kimanya SS.
The girls have only two groups each comprising five teams. Local champions, Kawempe SS and Masaka are in group B alongside Kaloleni, Ramera (Rwanda), Nyakach and Alliance. Mukono are in group A.
