2 Police Officers Jailed for Killing Suspect

New League entrants The Saints Fc have chosen Fahad Kawoya as the new team captain taking over from Geoffrey Bwire. The former captain is still nursing a successful stomach surgery he underwent last month.

While presenting the new leader, for sale coach Haruna Keba expressed his satisfaction with his choice arguing that Kawooya’s vast experience and upright discipline will add value to the team.

“His discipline commitment and experience are not questionable making him the perfect choice to lead the team, and ”  coach Haruna  Kebba said.

Kawooya was delighted in the new role and hopes for a smooth season.  “I am very happy to be trusted to lead my teammates and i want promise to help the team  succeed,” Kawooya remarked.

The former SC Villa defender will be assisted by Nelson Ssempagala and Marlon Tangawuzi as first and second deputies respectively.

The Saints collected their first league point against Police Fc courtesy of Julius Malimungu’s strike that cancelled out Ben Ocen’s early strike. The team travels to Jinja on Tuesday to clash JMC.
Police in Kasese have arrested two of their officers over a shooting that resulted in the death of murder suspect Mbusa Julius

The two officers who were arrested are George Okonge and Edward Bwambale

According to Police spokesperson Fred Enanga, web these two shot the deceased as he tried to run away when they came to arrest him from Kisungu 2 village, hospital Kacungiro Parish, mind Munkunyu sub county in Kasese district.


“On 7/9/2015 at 11pm these police officers shot Mbusa Julius as he ran away from them, he was later rushed Kagando hospital where he later died,” Enanga revealed

Enanga added that these officers are still under Kasese police custody as investigations carry on.
