She told ChimpLyf yesterday that she won’t be in the country most of the time and can’t thus balance radio work at the moment.

However, Seanice remembered to leave a message of appreciation (call it a gift) to her listeners, both fans and haters alike.

Here is her message of appreciation:

I really did not want to do one of those long status messages that seem to go nowhere and announce to the whole world that a career spanning over a decade is coming to an end.

It seemed self Indulgent and narcissistic to me, And I am very private with my innermost feelings … then I realized that it wasn’t about me…

It was about paying my respects and being grateful, about being honestly and sincerely thankful with humility for every single person that deigned to find me even remotely interesting or humorous.

I have been moved close to tears, by the inbox from a listener who said I just sounded happy every morning and that from his jail cell that’s what kept him going (he didn’t need to know that I forced the happy to deal with the pain of losing my own mum).

This is just a message to say that for everyone who never messaged me but did appreciate me…

Thank you … For the messages, tweets, watsapps and phone calls saying best of luck in your future endeavours I receive the blessings and to say that this status is dedicated to you.

For allowing me to find my voice…especially the critics or as the youth say ‘haters.’ Yes! You made me stronger and better.

I owe you a debt of gratitude as well. May you all prosper and realize that I will always be humbled and floored that this skinny lanky girl from Soroti was allowed to be a part of your lives.

Wherever you listened. As I do my last radio show tomorrow, Sanyu Fm will always be one of my greatest career love affairs.

Thank you.
