182 New Covid-19 Cases Recorded on Thursday

The Ministry of Health has on Thursday confirmed 182 new COVID-19 cases in Uganda bringing the cumulative total number of confirmed infections in the country to 9,442.

“Results from COVID-19 tests done on 7th October 2020; 182 new COVID-19 cases confirmed. The cumulative confirmed cases of Ugandans are now 9,442,” the Health Ministry announced.

The new cases include 177 contacts and alerts, 4 returnees and 1 truck driver.

These include; 110 from Kampala, 10 from Gulu, 9 from Moyo, 6 from Gomba, 5 from Koboko, 7 from Wakiso, 4 from Moroto, 4 from Soroti, 4 from Yumbe, 3 from Amuru, 3 from Kotido, 2 from Buvuma, 1 from Arua, 1 from Dokolo, 1 from Katakwi, 1 from Lamwo, 1 from Luwero, 1 from Maracha, 1 from Nabilatuk, 1 from Obongi, 1 from Kaberamaido and 1 from Adjumani.

The 4 returnees who tested positive for COVID-19 included 1 from Saudi Arabia, 1 from Qatar, Oman and South Sudan.

The truck driver arrived from Mutukula point of entry.

Currently, Uganda has a cumulative total of 9,442 COVID-19 confirmed cases, 5,781 recoveries and 85 fatalities.
