FUFA Briefs Top Flight Clubs On Sponsorship Negotiations

The president of FUFA, Engineer Moses Magogo, who chaired the meeting, revealed that there are ongoing negotiations at initial stages which could lead to sponsorship for the top flight in the country.

He said USL, FUFA and Government are playing a key role in the negotiations.

Clubs welcomed the idea and blessed the federation to go ahead with negotiations as long as the football regulations are adhered to and assurance that the funds will get down to the clubs in a transparent manner.

Two officials Mr. Mike Okua-(KCC FC Chairman) and Simo Dubajic (SCVU Chairman) were selected to join the negotiation team.


According to a brief statement from FUFA which Chimpreports has seen, despite being a detailed discussion, the clubs advised that the details of the negotiations will only be revealed to the public after conclusive decisions have been reached.

“FUFA and the clubs are positive that the negotiations will yield good results. Negotiations will continue this week,’ the statement reads in part.

Observers say the negotiations are a step forward in promoting local football talent in the top flight teams which are a source for the national football team.
