Addressing hundred of farmers’ representatives today, Friday, at Kabale secondary school, Mugura said that the farmers are to be given a 3,000 litre milk cooler from Netherlands under their union “Kabale Tukore and Kigezi cooperative in the 2014 financial year.
Mugura urged farmers to always turn up and attend the meetings like that because “they can learn much about how to sustain dairy cattle and get advice on the right pastures for their cattle to ensure their health”.
“Whenever we call you for such meetings, we have much to tell you but surprisingly, we get a little turn up which is bad for you,” Mugura stressed.
He further appealed to farmers to always attend willingly without demanding for transport refund whenever they are called for such meetings.
Mugula noted that farmers, whenever invited to attend the meetings, do ignore them because they are not provided with transport refunds.
