“According to our survey, by the year 2020, ninety percent of land in Kampala will be in hands of tycoons leaving the city without land to carry out development,” he stressed.

He explained that people in other prime areas like towns around the country have mortgaged their land in banks in return for loans which he said would make them lose their land if they fail to service the loans.

“We want government to put in place a law ensuring that no person owns more than one hundred acres of land in prime areas like cities and towns in the country,” advised Tugume.
