Kenyatta Congratulates Merkel, King Abdul

Meanwhile, President Kenyatta has sent a congratulatory message to King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud, the Government and the people of Saudi Arabia as they commemorate their national day today.


The President appreciated the humanitarian help extended to Kenya by Saudi Arabia at times of need.

“Of special mention are education scholarships your kingdom has been offering to Kenyan students and the many projects funded by the Saudi Fund for Economic Development,” the President said.

He said Kenya looked forward to continued collaboration with Saudi Arabia in combating transnational organized crime, increased transfer of technology and attainment of millennium development goals.

He added that his administration is committed to consolidating the warm bonds of friendship between Kenya and Saudi Arabia for the benefit of the people of the two countries.
