“One of the key issues of the meeting is the status of the Uganda Young Democrats and will pronounce itself over the wrangles that have inflicted the party’s youth wing,” he said.
Mao said the meeting will also be discussing policy development within the party to avoid only looking at regime change as the only issue to focus on but rather develop several workable policies for the good of all Ugandans and the party supporters.
The party will also discuss the renewing of the party leadership right away from the grass root to the top leadership.
“I am not a permanent leader of DP so all of us are going to be subjected to elections; it is always good for leaders to always refresh their leadership to give way for the emergency of new leaders,” he emphasized.
Mao said as well as discussing the National Council, the NEC meeting will also discuss the political environment of the country and also review the state of the Nation.
