A few days ago, Mr Patrick Ongom Komakech who once worked with The Monitor Publications passed away at Masindi. With Monitor, he mainly concentrated on photography. He was later appointed as Information Minister in Alur Kingdom in Nebbi district.
Veteran Journalist and former Chief New Editor Uganda News Agency (Radio Uganda and Uganda Television), Mr Emmanuel Nkurunziza, also passed away on September 8 at Kampala Hospital.
By the time of his death Emmanuel Nkurunziza was an Assistant Commissioner for Information in the Directorate of Information and National Guidance under the Prime Minister’s Office.
He played a significant role in helping transform the former UTV – Radio Uganda into a modern Public broadcaster.
