The deceased has been identified as Jenesta Tumuhimbise, a wife to one Vianny Tumwebaze.
“I was shocked because my wife had gone to the trading center to buy some house materials only to hear that she had died together with our child she was carried on her back,” Tumwebaze lamented.
Speaking to the Chairman for Kayonza Growers Tea Factory, Caleb Kipande who lost about 17 cows said the rain started early in the morning but on bad note with lightning and thunderstorms.
“It didn’t expect this. I have lost my cows and my garden was left destroyed,” Said Kipande.
The Mpungu sub County district councilor Frank Byaruhanga has told Chimpreports that they had not experienced such tragedy in over a decade.
He sent condolences massages to the families which lost their members, animals and property.
