122 New COVID-19 Cases, 1 Death Recorded on Friday

The Ministry of Health has on Friday confirmed 122 new COVID-19 cases in Uganda bringing the cumulative total number of confirmed infections in the country to 11,163.

1 new COVID-19 death has been recorded from Kampala.

“Results from COVID-19 tests done on 22nd October 2020; 122 new COVID-19 cases confirmed. The cumulative confirmed cases of Ugandans are now 11,163,” the Health Ministry announced.

The new cases include 122 contacts and alerts.

These include; 55 from Kampala, 11 from Wakiso, 10 from Mukono, 7 from Mbarara, 5 from Gulu, 5 from Tororo, 3 from Kibuku, 4 from Luwero, 3 from Manafwa,  3 from Mbale, 2 from Kyotera, 2 from Rubanda, 1 from Buikwe, 1 from Bunyangabu, 1 from Bushenyi, 1 from Kabale, 1 from Kayunga, 1 from Kumi, 1 from Lamwo, 2 from Mubende, and 1 from Ntungamo.

Currently, Uganda has a cumulative total of 11,163 COVID-19 confirmed cases, 7,269 recoveries and 99 fatalities.
