12 people are nursing cuts and wounds at Anaka hospital in Nwoya district after surviving an accident on Karuma-Pakwach highway in Nwoya district.
On Wednesday afternoon, a bus registration number UAT 559Y belonging to Gaaga Bus Company was travelling from Yumbe to Kampala when it collided with a trailer that was travelling to Arua from Karina.
The accident happened at Wii Village in Anaka subcounty, Nwoya district.
Patrick Okema in a telephone interview with ChimpReports said: “The accident happened while the bus was trying to dodge two trailers. One of the trailers was trying overtake the other.”
According to Okema, the bus driver tried to dodge to avoid a nasty scene but lost control and the bus fell on the sides.
All the 12 people have been taken to Anaka hospital for medical attention.
By the time of publishing this story, the bus was still at the scene of accident.
